Project analyses data from acoustic array to study response of migrating bowhead whales to various E&P activities during fall migration from Canadian waters to Bering sea. Analyses shows response of sound production in bowhead whales to E&P noise. This report incorporates into that analyses: whether localisation of individual calls is necessary in achieving accurate call density; whether long terms estimates of call rates vs E&P noise can be determined without accurate baseline cue rates. and; whether passive acoustics can be combined with visual surveys to accurately asses individual call rates.
